Library Behavioral Expectations:
with excessive noise -Computers are provided for research only -Playing computer games is strictly forbidden -According to Radford's internet AUP: -No one may use the internet for illegal activities or to access obscene materials -No one may download, install or modify software without permission -Copyright laws and licensing agreements must be respected -School rules about acceptable behavior apply in the library -Discipline issues will be referred to the counselors or Vice Principals -Always respect others -Always respect library property Admittance to the Library Non-Instructional Times -I.D. badges must be visible -Appropriate library behavior is expected Instructional Times (Periods 1-7) -Only TEACHERS may send students to the library -Students must have a LIBRARY PASS from teacher -Planner must be signed (no other form will be accepted), in INK, with correct date, time and LIBRARY as destination and REASON for visit -I.D. badge must be visible TASK -Students will be accepted into the library only during the first 5 minutes of TASK -Teachers may not send students to the library during TASK -Students will be given assigned seats -Students must remain in the library for the entire TASK period -A quiet, study hall environment is expected and maintained. Group work is encouraged elsewhere State of Hawaii Department of Education, Board of Education Chapter 57 Restitution for damaged and Lost Books, Equipment, Supplies and Outstanding Financial Obligations: Restitution must be made for damaged and lost books, equipment, supplies, and outstanding financial obligations. The purpose of this chapter is to hold students accountable for lost and damaged textbooks, library books, equipment and supplies, including financial obligations.
